It's Pi Day! All my classes celebrated Pi Day today on 3/14. We read books about pi, learned about circles, memorized digits of pi, made pi chains in 9s and pi bracelets in 10s.

Creating an Answer Key
My students love solving weekend challenges. I have a great challenge with no answer key, so today I gave my students the task of solving these puzzles and creating my answer key. I explained that it was like code breaking to figure out what the letters had to be in each problem. They worked so hard to solve these problems. Great teamwork!

Kakooma App
We are using a fabulous app called Kakooma that is from the Greg Tang website to practice our multiplication facts. The students enjoyed trying to improve their times while practicing their facts.
We are grateful to Mrs. McGraw for adding this wonderful app to our ipads.
